We were awarded a ‘Top Wine’ rating Slow Wine for our Chianti Classico 2019. We cannot tell how proud we are to be recognised by this guide. (By the way, Greve in Chianti is a ‘slow city’. What better place to enjoy our ‘slow wine’?)
Appreciation for our Chianti Classico Riserva 2019
Tasting Live with Jamie Goode
“There’s the most beautiful sour cherry and then plum with a touch of raspberry and then some dried herbs. Maybe even a hint of blood and iodine that’s a sort of savoury twist, but the overall impression is lovely sweet, aromatic fruits. In the mouth, it’s got this lovely texture, it’s got a rounded mid-palate, fruit sweetness, it’s got an appropriate structure with some dry, dusty tannins at the finish but this doesn’t intrude in to that lovely wave of sweet fruit right through the mid-palate. A really serious wine. I think this has got lots of dimensions to it and as Chianti Classico, this is more on the elegant side.”
